Christmas Shopping in Sheffield

With Christmas fast approaching, the thought of presents may well be on your mind. Luckily for you, Sheffield has a vast array of shops just perfect for grabbing those Christmas gift bargains.

If you’re looking for ideas all you have to do is walk around Meadowhall for inspiration, from Lush to Hotel Chocolate, there is something for everyone. There are many shops just perfect for gifts including The Body Shop, Boots, Flannels, Clinton Cards, Superdrug, Argos, Card Factory, Hamleys and Claire’s to name but a few.

If you’re struggling for ideas, here are a few things that may help. Next have mini scented diffusers which are only £8 and smell totally amazing. They come in a range of different scents and are a lovely gift or stocking filler. You can get full size versions, but the minis are a great idea if you are on a tight budget.

Everyone’s favourite is Christmas Snow Fairy from Lush, and they also have some lovely gifts for men too. Although some products may seem expensive, they do have some products that are cheaper such as some of the amazing bath bombs for around £4 each.

Boots have something for everyone, in fact, you could pretty much get all of your Christmas shopping done there! They have some lovely readymade gift sets for men and women which may also eliminate the need for wrapping. They have them for all ages too, some with bath toys and children’s soaps.

If you are wanting a more personalised touch, Boots at Meadowhall have printing booths where you can have photos applied to cushions, canvases, mugs etc. These can be really touching gifts for someone who may be missing you whilst you’re away at university.

For something a little more luxurious, Meadowhall is home to a brand-new store, Flannels, which has all your high-end beauty products and designer shoes and clothes. You can get some beautiful skincare and make-up sets from here as well.

With Meadowhall having everything under one roof it can be appealing to do all your shopping there, but then you would be missing out on the gems in Sheffield city centre. They have many small independent shops too and it’s always a good idea to support them.

With these shops being closer to your student accommodation and many in need of extra support after Covid closures, it is a good idea to check them out.

As mentioned, in Meadowhall there is a Lush but there is also one in Sheffield town centre selling the same amazing products and you could easily pop in there after a university.

Whilst the city centre does have some of the same shops as Meadowhall it also has independent shops that you won’t find anywhere else such as Moonko which sells dried flower arrangements. These flower arrangements last for around a year so make a perfect gift for Christmas to brighten up someone’s home. They are located on Division Street in the city centre.

Another shop with Christmas gift ideas is Bird Yard located on Chapel Street. They sell a range of items made in Sheffield. These would make perfect gifts for your family and friends back home as you’re taking a bit of Sheffield back with you. The list of gifts you could purchase is endless, homeware gifts, food and drinks, clothing and they also sell items for children, perfect for any younger siblings or family members.

Sheffield Makers is another independent shop that sells gifts made in Sheffield. They have a range of art as well as sweet treats such as chocolate, everyone’s favourite gift at Christmas. They also sell jewellery including earrings and necklaces. They are located at unit 2/3 in Sheffield Winter Gardens.
