Halloween is a great time for students in the UK to let loose and have some fun. With so many different events and activities to choose from, there’s something for everyone. Here are a few ideas to make the most of this spooky time of year.

  1. Throw a Halloween party

One of the best ways to celebrate Halloween is to throw a party with your friends. You can decorate your student accommodation in Sheffield in a spooky style, serve up some spooky snacks and drinks, and play some Halloween-themed games. You can even have a costume contest to see who has the best outfit.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for Halloween party games, here are a few ideas:

  • Bob for apples: This classic Halloween game is always a hit. Fill a tub with water and add some apples. Players then have to try to catch an apple using only their teeth.
  • Pin the tail on the donkey: This game can be easily adapted for Halloween by using a picture of a black cat or a pumpkin instead of a donkey.
  • Murder mystery party: This is a more involved game, but it can be a lot of fun. You can either buy a pre-made murder mystery kit or create your own.
  1. Go trick-or-treating

Trick-or-treating is another classic Halloween tradition. Come on you’re never too old and if you’re living in a student area, chances are there will be plenty of houses giving out treats.

Here are a few tips for trick-or-treating:

  • Be respectful of the houses you visit. Only knock on doors that have a Halloween decoration displayed.
  • Don’t take too many treats from each house. Leave some for the other trick-or-treaters.
  • Be careful when crossing the streets and stay in groups for safety.
  1. Visit a haunted venue

If you’re looking for a good scare, visit a haunted venue. There are many different places around Sheffield said to be haunted.
