Although most of this year has been spent at home, the chances of having a ‘normal’ summer are still pretty slim. However, that doesn’t mean that your summer has to be boring. There are so many ways to enjoy your summer staycation and here are a few ideas for ‘Spending Your Summer at Home’.

Rather than thinking a holiday has to be abroad, let’s take a look at safer ways to spend your summer while at home.

  • Days Out

Even though we still have to take safe precautions due to you know, there is no rule saying that you can’t enjoy a day out. Turn your phone off the day, gather some of your friends, pack a picnic, a blanket and spend the day out somewhere.

  • Make Most of the Weather

Since we have had such nice weather lately, make the most of it! Grab a book or some earphones and go sit in your garden and relax. Because let’s be honest with this weather it’s like being abroad anyways. So, go and soak up the sun! But remember your sun-cream! If the weather takes a turn for the worst then stay indoors, order some food and have a movie day.

  • BBQ’s

Seen as the weather has been lovely lately, do something a bit different in the evenings. Instead of going out for food, have a night in at home, invite your friends or family round put on the BBQ, turn up the music and enjoy yourself.

  • Go Camping

You may be reluctant to stay in hotels and holiday homes at the minute but what’s to say that you can’t go camping? It gets you out of the house and doing something different. Even if you don’t feel like travelling somewhere else to set up camp then have a camp out in your own back garden.

  • Exercise

While many of us are desperate to get back to the gym and lots of them aren’t open, there are other ways that we can still get the exercise we need. There are so many public parks open to go walking, jogging and running at any time of the day.

We hope that this blog has given you some idea on ‘spending your summer at home’.
