Christmas is fast approaching and with it comes presents, Christmas markets, family gatherings and much more. Whilst it is a fantastic time of year you may well find that your finances are stretched more than normal. Parkgate in Rotherham now has a direct tram to the centre of Sheffield, so transport won’t be an issue if you spot a job vacancy there.
You will have to be prepared to work later hours as many shops extend their opening hours and you may also be asked to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve too. Most businesses will expect you to work one or 2 of these so get your preferences in early to avoid disappointment.

Also, when applying to multiple places it’s a good idea to change your CV to meet the specific skills that job is looking for. This will help you stand out from the other applicants and give you a better chance of securing the role.
