University Updates
Universities have been working hard for some time now for confirmation on enrolment. They’ve been working their way through the government U-turn on A Level exam results to ensure that students get their rightful place at their chosen institution. Here are some University updates.
Sheffield Hallam University have stated that they will now honour all offers made earlier on in the year due to the results scandal. They have made more offers than they have in previous years. This will make it slightly more complicated to accommodate so many students giving the recent guidelines that universities now have to follow. However, all universities are working extra hard to keep their students safe.
With so many offers being handed out, there is likely to be some delay within certain courses. Universities hoped to have things moving faster but due to all the recent setbacks, they’re doing the best they can to get the place back up and running. Students will be returning to universities in just over two weeks so there is a lot of prep going on behind the scenes to ensure the safety of staff and students.
Time tables haven’t yet been finalised as universities are trying to work with final numbers. So, depending on the course that you have chosen you may be waiting a while longer for yours. One huge factor that is dictating time tables is the return of staff. Due to Covid-19 there are many members of staff that can’t return to work for health reasons. So, universities are having to find cover and ways around this.
It’s been a tough year for everyone with lots of unknowns but universities are trying their best to make the transition easier for you all.
For some of you students, you may be returning earlier than others and require student accommodation.
