One great place to visit is The Western Park Museum. It is free entry and has many exhibits some which are permanent and others that are changed seasonally. Another place to visit when you are struggling for money is the Botanical Gardens, here you can sit for hours on a sunny day enjoying nature and watching the world go by.
If you are looking for a real student experience, the night life in Sheffield is not one to miss. If you are into live music the Leadmill is amazing for tribute acts and independent bands. They also have regular quiz and comedy nights so something for everyone really. Another great night club is Corporation with cheap drinks and good music, what more could you want?
If you are looking for a chilled-out weekend, you can get a bus from Ecclesall Road to the beautiful Peak District. There is a lovely pub called The Fox House where you can have something to eat then go for a scenic walk.
When your family visit you and you want to show off Sheffield to them. Kelham Island Museum provides some great insights into Sheffield’s history. Whilst you are there you can go into the cutlery works for food and drink in their food hall.
