Are you new to Sheffield or live nearby but never really ventured into the city centre? Well, as university starts, you and your friends may be interested in checking out some of these great lunch spots. First, we have How ST Cafe which is located on 46 Howard Street next to Sheffield Hallam University. With a classic cafe feel and delicious dishes, it is the perfect place for students to meet up. Another popular lunch spot in Sheffield is, Caffe Piazza. Its Italian theme will give you that kick of flavour you may be craving whilst also giving you a trendy place to sit and enjoy time with your friends. Located at 18 Church Street it’s right in the heart of the city. While enjoying their mouth-watering food, if your lectures have finished for the day, you could enjoy a nice cold beer or glass of wine as they also serve alcohol.
Copper Pot is another Sheffield favourite and serves a great breakfast and lunch. Located at 68 Division Street once again this one is in the city centre and only a short walk away from Sheffield’s campuses. Their vegan and gluten-free options make it inclusive for everyone with different dietary needs and their smoothies make an ideal choice if you’re looking for a nice refreshing drink.
Thyme Cafe at 490-492 Glossop Road is a cafe that offers British and European food as well as various vegetarian options. Its reviews pay compliment to their amazing Sunday lunches, so it is somewhere to relax and enjoy your weekends off university. It also has outdoor seating where you can enjoy amazing food and delicious drinks on a sunny day.
Steam Yard is located on 97 Division Street and does a range of breakfasts and lunches including vegan and gluten-free options. This is the perfect cafe to sit and relax at while taking a break, great for a catch-up session with friends or maybe to show to people that are visiting you.
Located on Halifax Road, The Wortley Arms is a little further out of town but well worth a visit. It has that classic pub feel and serves traditional dishes such as pies and fish and chips. A nice, cooked meal is always appreciated after weeks of takeaways and pot noodles. It also offers locally brewed ale which can be enjoyed near the fire on a cold day or outside on a sunny day.
