Student Hacks

Being a student can be very challenging, trying to keep up with your studies, work, and fitting in a social life isn’t always easy. Time can be everything and knowing how to use it effectively could reduce your stress load dramatically. Below are a few hacks we think students could really benefit from.

You will be juggling different lectures and work that needs to be completed to deadlines and it can all get very confusing causing you to mix subjects together. To stay organised, use different coloured pens for each subject, this will keep everything in order and save you time flicking through piles and piles of notes.

Ensure you keep to a budget, set yourself budgets for things like food, clothes and your social life. This will ensure you don’t just spend all your money as soon as you get it. Also try and save money wherever you can, such as taking your own food to university instead of buying lunch out.

If you are struggling to wake up on time for your lectures, try setting your alarm half an hour before you want to get up. This will give you extra time to check your phone and really come around in time to get ready and leave. It’s also good to stay in bed for at least 10 minutes before getting up. This will make you feel more awake and set you up for the day.

Another hack to stay organised is to plan your outfit the night before, this will save so much time in the morning and give you ample opportunity to pick what you want to wear. Also get your bag ready the night before too so in the morning you can focus simply on getting ready and setting off on time.

To make sure your work is completed on time and to a good standard make use of the library where you will be able to really concentrate and avoid distractions. Also, if you need any more information for research, you’ll be surrounded by all the materials you need.
