Things To Do in April
Now the weather is brightening up and spring is here, it’s a great time to get outside and explore the city of Sheffield. Here are a few places you could try.
Pom Kitchen is the go-to cafe for brunches in Sheffield. Here they specialise in vegetarian and vegan dishes packed with flavour and freshness. Some of their specialties include vegan waffles and cereal milk French toast and if you’re not looking for food why not try out some of their amazing selections of drinks? With multi-coloured lattes and ice cream floats there is something for everyone. Pom Kitchen is located on Sharrow Vale Road close to Endcliffe Park where you can sit and enjoy your brunch with your friends.
Another great place is the Picture House Social, here you can enjoy classic cocktails and a range of different wines. If you are looking for lunch or dinner, they also offer pizzas which can be either meat or vegan. When you have finished tucking into your food and drink, they also offer a hidden alfresco terrace which is perfect in the warmer months, with ping pong tables and DJ sets to last all night. It is located on Abbeydale Road, perfect for an evening of fun with friends.
With Sheffield being one of the greenest cities in the UK, why not take advantage of this and have a picnic in one of the many parks. You and our friends could chip in and bring different food and drinks and really make a day of it. This is a good option if funds are low as you can bring as little or as much as you like. If you are looking for food that has been made by someone else, Pom Kitchen as mentioned earlier also does take out. We recommend Graves Park as it is very spacious and has pretty scenery.
If you are looking for something a little different and fun to do, why no go to Crack the Code Escape Rooms located on Carver Street? They have many different themes of escape rooms to choose from. Their website promises you will have your minds stimulated, nerves tested, and teamwork judged. The escape rooms last for around 1 hour in which you will play different games in a bid to escape. This would be a great way of bonding with your university friends as it’s all about teamwork and trusting each other.
We hope this blog has given you some ideas of what to do in Sheffield now that spring is here and if you need any help with your student accommodation in Sheffield then please do not hesitate to contact us.
