Things To Do This Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a day to show love to the people around you whether this be your partner or your friends and family. With this year is looking like we’ll have less restrictions than last year here are a few ideas that you could do to enjoy that special day.

If you’ve not been lucky in love this year, you could celebrate ‘Galentines Day’ with your besties. Enjoy a shopping trip to Meadowhall and finish off with a nice meal and drinks.

Restaurants we would recommend would include Wagamama’s where you can enjoy amazing Asian inspired dishes. They also have many juices and smoothies to enjoy alongside your meal.

TGI Fridays is another very popular restaurant and is situated in the Oasis. You can enjoy American style dishes such as burgers, BBQ ribs and of course, their famous Jack Daniels chicken. They also have a well-stocked bar in which you can order cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

Another great restaurant to try is Carluccio’s, where you can dine on fine Italian food anytime of the day as they offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If visiting later in the day they have a selection of wines and beers to enjoy with your meal too. Some of their foods include seabass, mussels, and steak, all with an Italian twist.

If you’re looking for a more low-key Valentine’s Day, why not order a takeaway and enjoy a film in the comfort of your own student accommodation?

You could even order desserts as there are many dessert shops in Sheffield that now deliver to your door such as Heavenly Desserts on Division Street where you can enjoy cookie doughs, brownies, and milkshakes!

To complement your takeaway why not have a look at what Netflix has to offer? New films coming in February include, ‘The Lucky One’. Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling star in this romantic drama about a US marine returning after a near death experience. If you want a binge-watching session then ‘The Kissing Booth’ has 3 films you could watch back-to-back on Netflix, as well as ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’.

We hope we’ve given you a few ideas to do for Valentine’s day this year, and remember if you need any help with your student accommodation please do not hesitate to contact us.
