Isn’t it funny how, no matter what university you study at, what course you choose, who your friends are, you all have similar experiences whilst you’re there?

People will tell you that university years are the best years of your life, and for a lot of the time that’s certainly true, but that doesn’t mean it comes without its troubles. It’s all part of the ‘Uni life’ experience.

Here are a few things you might relate to:

Relying on Caffeine to Get You Through the Day

You may have hated coffee at one time, but it’s now become one of your best friends. When on the way to a lecture, you can’t not pick up a coffee. Even if you aren’t a coffee lover, you might rely on hot chocolate to get you through the day.

Expensive Textbooks

Education comes at a high cost already without the added expense of textbooks! Did you know that students spend £100 – £150 on textbooks per academic year? It may be more depending on the course.

Stress

Stressing about whether you’ll complete your work before the deadline, stressing about whether your work is good enough. The constant stress about money, food, study, jobs, transport, not having a social life. It just seems never-ending.

Procrastination

We all do it. You don’t have to attend Uni to be good at this. However, being at Uni, you probably do it more often. That feeling when you have all your work out in front of you, but your mind is somewhere else. You just can’t focus so you start to check your phone, watch TV or make something to eat. Before you know it, three hours have passed and still no work done!

Food Shortage

That month that seems to last forever because you’re living off beans on toast and pot noodles. Money is usually one of the most common issues amongst Uni students. It’s even worse when you’re waiting for your wages or student loan to arrive so you can finally afford some decent food.

If you can relate to any of these, just hang in there and remember why you’re doing it, it’ll be worth it in the end!
